Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca.     I had a lovely night for my friend's birthday. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. Every staff member seemed to really enjoy being there. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were very nice. It was an amazing night; thanks so much!

    It was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I was so excited! My husband and I came to celebrate Christmas early, and I started with a cocktail that was absolutely delicious. Since I hadn’t eaten all day, it didn’t take much to make me tipsy after just one drink! The food was fantastic—juicy and tender steak, fresh scallops . Every bite was a pleasant surprise. A huge thank you to the staff, who were so polite and incredibly attentive. They noticed I got tipsy easily and even thoughtfully gave me a bag just in case I needed it. I really appreciate the care (and sorry for any trouble I caused!). Overall, it was such a wonderful dining experience, and I will definitely be back again. Reika mui

    Great experience at Refuge, one of the best restaurants in Manchester. It has been a while since I last visited but it did not disappoint, the food was tasty and the service was attentive. Our needs were met and we were not rushed. The setting and atmosphere makes this place. The prices seem higher but it is worth the trip, the menu also seems to have reduced but still a great selection of dishes.
