We had the best meal at Marmalade!! The food was spectacular and the service was divine. Our waiter Santiago made us feel like celebrities, will definitely be back the next time we are in San Juan!

First time in San Juan, we were looking for a great place to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and STK exceeded expectations. Luis Lamboy and Maria were both excellent and knowledgeable of the menu; both had fantastic recommendations. Our appetizer, the fried octopus, was a first for me and we absolutely loved it. The burrata was another hit; the basil and the tomatoes were so fresh and the flavors all blended together beautifully. For our entree, per Luis’s recommendation, we shared the 28oz porterhouse steak with parmesan encrusted mashed potatoes and lobster mac n cheese on the side. Once again, zero disappointments. The lobster tail served with the mac n cheese was juicy and flavorful, the mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned and the parmesan crust provided a layered texture and a nice crisp, and the porterhouse steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare with a perfect crust as well, which I believe is very important when preparing a steak. For dessert my girlfriend picked out the choco coco, which consisted of a chocolate brownie, coconut ice cream, caramel pearls and topped with caramel popcorn. The dish offered a beautiful blend of sweet and salty, decadent and fun. The sparkler it was served with was a nice surprise for the occasion. Overall, as two people who also come from a service industry/fine dining background, we admit it can be difficult to wow us but STK was an incredible experience with delicious food, great service, and good vibes.

Lets begin with the how friendly and attentive the hosts and staff are. We arrived slightly late and had changed our reservation to be there on time, nonetheless they fit us into the earliest slot available and sat us down in what we thought was the best spot. Next to the bar at a high table, underneath the AC. Which meant it was cozy, dark, and romantic. We ordered the Tomahawk and it was perfectly cooked, juicy and full of flavor! It was delicious. We paired it with the daily risotto and some drinks. I had a traditional old fashioned and my girlfriend had a catalina (fruity mixed drink). Overall a very enjoyable dinner. Highly recommend if you want to try something new outside of San Juan.

What a pleasant surprise. Not only was this a nice upscale restaurant with delicious food. It was also a great experience due to the impecable service we received. We come from Miami where we are used to paying really high prices for mediocre food at best but this place was a delight. We highly recommend the Salmon tartar, the Onion soup Escargot, the Ricotta Cavatelli and the Chocolate moose. We will come back for sure!

We had a marvelous time at Santaella. Scored the last rez for 2 seats at the bar and were highly entertained and taken care of well extremely well by the bartending staff, who were obviously having a good time as well. Was recommended this place by a bartender in St. Thomas, and will continue to spread the good word. Cool local joint, really gets hoping after Happy Hour
