We had an excellent experience at The Stables! The food was prepared well—I had the gnocchi with zucchini. My wife had the foie gras and fritas. We started with the savory cheesecake and I ordered the burrata and beet salad. Both were excellent! Drinks were top notch as well. Speaking of the waitstaff, we had a very excellent waitress, who catered to us timely but not clingy and was very professional as we drank more of their delicious drinks. I highly recommend the pistachio mustachio. If you get the idea we liked it, you are right! We plan on going back as soon as we are able!

Amazinggg bison ribeye with original huckleberry butter. Delicious house red of happy hour and our waitress was attentive, such a romantic dinner <3 we will definitely be back!

We went there for Valentine’s Day & they had a steak/chicken/chorizo fajita platter for 2. It was excellent!! The steak was delicious! It came with about 5 tortillas each & then veggies with some different sauces to choose from. It was mouth watering. Plus it was $40 total so that was a steal :) our server was amazing too. Very on top of things & kind.

Wonderful Valentine’s dinner! Food and service were divine! Such a Missoula eatery treasure and the river view of the snowy Clarkfork was spectacular! Perfect place to celebrate a special night!

This was our second visit to Boxcar Bistro and once again they didn’t disappoint. From the moment you walk in to when you leave it is well orchestrated. Lots of room between intimate tables and nice lighting. Unlike a lot of restaurants nowadays, you can hear your table mates while talking. Old school dining service, no turn and burn here. The courses were perfectly timed and so well prepared. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Crème brûlée is a must to close out your stay!
