Restaurants near Clear Spring Scuba Park

We have been going to the Oar House for probably 35 years. The dinners and their special sauces are phenomenal! The bread this trip was soggy and not fresh. We asked for another order and it was exactly the same ! The service was somewhat lacking! I always state in my reservations if it is a special occasion but the staff never looks!! It was our 50th anniversary and I had to keep telling everyone and I shouldn’t have to!

My girlfriend and I spent the early afternoon of Valentines day  at the Charlotte. We started off with the crab fingers (Cajun style) and a couple of cocktails. I cannot stress this enough, if you try the crab fingers, you will not be disappointed.  For our entrées we had the crispy duck and spicy vodka pasta, both of which were magnificent. Overall the experience was incredible. Our server was pleasant, and we will definitely be returning.

Thank you for making this evening an amazing one for us. When I initially booked my reservation I didn’t know if we had to reserve a table upstairs as it wasn’t an option for me. We showed up and thought we were going to be seated upstairs, but was informed at the front desk that we had patio seating. I was somewhat disappointed. As we sat in the bar area dispirited, we were approached by the manager. I believe he was. Long story short, he went above and beyond to ensure that we had upstairs seating and it all turned out to be an unforgettable experience for us. Thank you kind sir! Your work did not go unnoticed. Sorry I didn’t catch your name, but we really appreciate what you did. We will always dine here again whenever we are back in Dallas. I’ll remember to reserve my table upstairs next time. 😊

New to the Rockwall restaurant landscape, I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. The restaurant is inviting and warm in character. The dining area offers both booths and tables but leaves enough room between to avoid feeling crowded or imposing on another dining party. A full bar with seating is also available. We were warmly welcomed by several of the staff when arriving and being sat. New to this location, it appears they have enclosed the outdoor patio area. We did not venture outside (much too cold) but it looks like a lot of great added space. I would consider Wades Landing a very family friendly place. IMO, the menu selections fit this area. Nothing too exotic, which I believe is a good decision. Too often new restaurants open with menus that don't fit the pallets of their customers. Great food; yes, but entree familiarity wins out every time if you want to become a staple in the community. Speaking of the food, we very much enjoyed out entree and appetizers. Our food came out warm and was simply delicious. Note that if you come in on a Wednesday, their wine by the bottle, is 1/2 off. If you like Pinot Noir, I suggest the Banshee label. The prices are slightly higher, but I personally feel it fairly matches the quality of this restaurant.

We received wonderful customer service! The food was very good and prices pretty reasonable. They have only been open two weeks, and are striving to keep the time from ticket to table to only 10 minutes. It is one big open space, which I think is unique compared to other places. We do plan to go back.
