Restaurants near Corks Winery

Reserved for a party of 10. Seating was OK, although it was close quarters with all the other tables around. Restaurant was very busy, as expected. Our server was excellent, with a lot of energy and humor. Food was wonderful, despite my husband's fish needing to be redone because it was undercooked. Dishes ordered ranged from steak, fish, and salad, to jambalaya and three different risottos. Everyone ordered dessert, and I heard only positive comments. We will definitely be returning. The only downside was the party next to us celebrating a birthday, with the "birthday girl" (adult) wearing a very tight, low cut, and extremely short leopard print and feather two piece outfit. She stood up and was dancing next to their table. I was tempted to say something to our server, but the party was leaving so I decided to refrain. The room was slightly too noisy, and conversation was difficult at times. Prices were in the high side, but food quality was on par with it.

This was my first time at the Gandy Dancer and I was impressed. It was Christmas Day and the restaurant was crowded. The staff was wonderful and gave us excellent service. Despite the crowd we never felt neglected. To begin, I ordered the butternut squash soup and my husband had the chowder. For the main course I had the scallops with risotto and my husband had the prime rib. Both meals were excellent and were good portions. The creme brulee for dessert was a perfect ending to a great meal. I thought that the prix fix price was reasonable too. Add all this to the ambiance of the old railroad station and it was a wonderful way to spend Christmas. We will definitely go back.

Service from our entry at the door to the season’s greeting when we left was exemplary! Even with a full house, our server was attentive, the drinks wonderful and the food was all amazing. The only complaint would be the volume, but I believe that was mostly due to the holiday dining crowd. We will definitely return!

Had a nice dinner at the Sweetwater Chop House. Our second visit. I chose the Wagyu Steak and it was cooked to my tastes. Started the dinner with the Brussels Sprouts. I do not eat Brussels Sprouts anywhere except here. The sauce it is cooked in makes them palatable. No dessert this trip, but I would like to make a separate visit just for dessert. The others in my party had no complaints on the dining experience. Made reservation but was not necessary.
