Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. We have beautiful year-round outdoor seating options on our wrap around porch (we have heaters!) In the warmer months, we also open our courtyard.     I got the Valentine's special - Appetizer, main course, and dessert. There were so many good choices that it was difficult to decide. The deviled eggs were good. The salmon w. carrots and rice was excellent, along w. the apple bread pudding w. homemade vanilla ice cream. The service was excellent and very pleasant and prompt in spite of a birthday party taking place in the larger room and other diners coming and going. The overall experience was quite good and well worth more visits. The 3 course special for $30 was well worth it.

    Valentine’s Day 2025. I had the good sense to make a reservation weeks earlier to actually get a table! Food - Amazing. Drinks - Fantastic. Service - Top Notch - and the BEST part is I made a special request that I didn’t think would be noticed in the online reservation, but it WAS, and she was very pleasantly surprised! We got looks of envy from the surrounding tables. I would and probably will go back again year after year now. This was an amazing guest experience. Did I mention the food is amazing? 🦾

    Amazing Experience at Texas de Brazil! Texas de Brazil is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had!
