Marche, located in Eugene, Oregon, opened in August 1998. The restaurant, which seats 80 guests, has an exhibition kitchen featuring a beautiful wood-fired oven. We had breakfast there this morning and it was good. We made reservations ahead for dinner to celebrate our 53rd anniversary. We each ordered halibut, the parmesan was not at all crusty and the halibut was so firm it was tough cutting through. Sides were good. We were just disappointed in the halibut. Waitress was great, as was the server. She brought us a complimentary dessert and it was wonderful.

As always, the food is fantastic at Marche' while the service is always excellent. Last night, Ramil (?) was our server, and he did a super job of taking care of all our culinary needs. My wife had the Roast Duck, and I had Steak Frites. Both dishes were excellent. One can never go wrong eating at Marche'.
