- DDavidNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoI hate it when restaurants put a discretionary service charge on. I pay it but would tip anyway if the food and service are value for money. And a further point is the Employer should be paying decent salaries without staff having to rely on tips for their living.More infoBlackfriars RestaurantPrice: Expensive• British• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.6
- AAbigailNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review4.0Dined 4 days agoThe Mad House is one of the most unique bars I’ve ever been to. The layout and design of the bar is so cool. It’s quite chill vibes and the staff are so lovely and attentive. Drinks are amazing and so much choice! Would definitely go back.More infoThe Mad HousePrice: Moderate• Cocktail Bar• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.5

The food is delicious with perfect amount of time left between courses so you can enjoy the evening without feeling rushed. - GGeraldineGlasgow/Lanarkshire •16 reviews4.0Dined on 9 Dec 2024Food is really tasty and really enjoyed what I ate. Menu all looked terrific. Had booked a table but I was left standing alone at the front desk for ten minutes waiting for a server to come and seat me. Multiple times they walked past and I even said to one can you seat me please I have a booking. She looked like a rabbit in the headlights. The young servers did work hard but also floated around a bit not focused on customers who were often trying to catch their attention Wine was extortionate for a glass. Nice decor but lacked any kind of ambiance. Lots of inappropriate language heard from the open kitchen.More infoSocial BirdPrice: Moderate• British• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.5
- LLauraNewcastle and Northumberland •5 reviews4.0Dined on 3 Dec 2024A confirmed Open Table booking wasn’t recognised by the restaurant which caused some anxiety at first, particular as it was for a large group. However, the staff managed to pull together a table quickly and were very helpful and attentive.More infoThe Hudson - RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Contemporary European• Newcastle upon Tyne•3.7
