- DDavidSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoMade a reservation for 11/23 at Osteria Cotto. We arrived and were promptly greeted by the host. Got a table right inside close to the kitchen. Right away the smell hit us. It smelled like an Italian kitchen should smell. Amazing! We knew we were in for a treat. The ambiance and music were on point. Our servers name was Salvatore. From the moment we arrived he was very attentive and we knew he was going to be awesome. We ordered Garlic Foccacia Bread with Marinara and Meatballs for appetizers. The garlic bread with the shaved parmesan was delicious. The meatballs , oh the meatballs were very tasty. You can tell they make them in house along with the sauce. For our Entrees we had Fettuccine Pasta Wheel with Chicken and Sausage, Chicken Parmigiano, and Alfredo Gnocchi Pasta with Shrimp. All 3 were superb! The portions are much bigger then we expected. So make sure to bring an appetite. For desert we tried the Lemoncillo cake. So so good!! Overall 5 stars all the way around. The food , the ambiance and the customer service provided by Salvatore were all excellent. We will be back again!!More infoOsteria Cotto e MangiatoPrice: Moderate• Italian• Banker's Hill•4.6
- NNataliavipSan Diego •21 reviews5.0Dined on 19 Nov 2024What can I say? This is easily one of the best happy hour spots in San Diego! The ambiance is stunning, the service is outstanding, and the food is absolutely incredible. We had yet another fantastic experience here, this time for an early dinner to celebrate my kid’s birthday. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the Japanese sweet potatoes are a must-try, the fish and chips were amazing—so fresh and moist—and the clam chowder was perfection. The smoked trout dip wasn’t my favorite this time, but it was still a solid appetizer. Our server, Mike, was exceptional—attentive, polite, and spot-on with his food recommendations. We’ll definitely be back, and if you’ve never been to this place, make a reservation now. You can thank me later!More infoIronside Fish & OysterPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Little Italy•4.4
- MMMarkMvipSan Diego •76 reviews5.0Dined on 15 Jun 2024Nestled on the 34th floor of Symphony Towers, the University Club offers a dining experience that is truly unparalleled. The views alone are worth the visit, offering breathtaking panoramas that are like no other in the city. From the moment you step into the club, the sweeping vistas captivate you, setting the stage for a memorable meal. The culinary offerings are equally impressive. Among the standout dishes, the scallops and halibut fish are my personal favorites. The scallops are perfectly seared, with a delicate balance of flavors that elevate the dish. The halibut is equally exceptional, cooked to perfection with a texture that melts in your mouth. While the ribeye is no longer on the menu, the New York steak that has taken its place does not disappoint. It’s a worthy successor, offering a robust and flavorful experience that will satisfy any steak lover. Membership at the University Club is priced at $340 a month, which grants access to this exclusive dining experience atop Symphony Towers. Given the quality of the food, the unparalleled views, and the refined ambiance, it’s an investment in culinary and aesthetic pleasure that is well worth considering. In conclusion, the University Club Atop Symphony Towers is a gem in the city’s dining scene. Whether you’re here for a special occasion or simply to indulge in a remarkable meal, it promises an experience that combines exquisite cuisine with a view that is second to none.More infoUniversity Club Atop Symphony TowersPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Gaslamp•4.6
