- GGaryEdinburgh/Midlothian •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAs usual (The Basement is our go to restaurant when in Edinburgh), the service was great along with delicious food. Not cheap but then nothing is at the moment. Well worth it though.More infoThe BasementPrice: Expensive• Mexican• New Town•4.7
- NNickCheshire •20 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe booked for the festive afternoon tea, food was lovely, I’m very fussy and sandwich request was fulfilled (pre messaged restaurant). Cakes were tasty and the ivy craft beer washed it all down nicely. Staff were great & was a lovely atmosphere. thank youMore infoThe Ivy on the SquarePrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Old Town•4.3
- DDerekLas Vegas •4 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoA lukewarm reception as I don’t think the gentleman who booked us in and took our menus uttered a single world to us when we arrived. He just collected the menus from their storage shelf and headed for the table. Not to worry though as (spoiler alert!) the food was excellent! It’s also fair to say he warmed up once we were seated and looked after us well. Overall I’d say this was a very enjoyable evening. We went for the Festive Set Menu which is terrific value! The portion sizes were generous too. My wife’s turkey was thick, juicy and flavourful and my Flat Iron Steak was perfect. A five star experience, just a pity about the blasé welcome.More infoBread Street Kitchen & Bar — EdinburghPrice: Moderate• British• New Town•3.8
- SSusanEdinburgh/Midlothian •1 review5.0Dined on 18 Nov 2024The experience reminds me of a traditional Italian trattoria in a city neighbourhood. There was a good mix of regulars and city visitors which added to the cosy ambience. The furnishings and decor were a good blend of traditional and contemporary with subtle lighting. The staff were professional, welcoming and knowledgeable about the food and wine. The value for money on the set lunch menu was astonishing. The food was traditional, with a good choice and quality and well cooked and presented.More infoMamma Roma RistorantePrice: Moderate• Italian• Leith Walk•4.8
