Really creative food and absolutely delicious. Staff was friendly, restaurant was sexy, and the food was absolutely delicious. The beet salad was one of the best things I’ve had in ages.

The rooftop restaurant AJ's Prime is excellent. We happened upon it on day by accident and stayed for a drink. The steak smelled so good and the people were so friendly, we returned the next night for dinner. I intended to order a steak but the fish special sounded too good to miss. Grilled snapper on carrot purée with hibiscus coulis and topped with arugula--I cannot describe how wonderful it was! Perfectly cooked with interesting flavors. My husband enjoyed his strip steak, again cooked perfectly to order. We each had a cocktail (he a spicy margarita, I a punch served with bourbon instead of rum). Our waiter was attentive and personable, and we are eager to go back. Next trip to Punta Mita, Prime will be high on our list of reservations.

Hebes and David and the entire staff at Punta Mercedes were amazing. From the second you walk into the restaurant and you see that breathtaking view you know this is going to be a wonderful, memorable experience. You are greeted by a friendly hostess who seats you in the best spot at a table in the sand overlooking the water and one of the most beautiful sunset venues you will ever find in Punta Mita. Now the food, PERFECTION. Hebes and David were attentive and happy and made our evening from their suggestions to the presentations. The best meal my wife and I had while in PV. I would go back there again and again. The filet was amazing and my wife had the short rib which was beautifully presented, carved and served perfectly. The side dishes are so delicious. The atmosphere is so romantic and fun. YOU MUST GO

Great location and always great service. The food could use a little updating. I ordered the blue shrimp which were delicious. However, I got tiny little ramekins of rice and vegetable, and the dinner rolls seemed commercial served with lbutter in prepackaged plastic containers. Not the sort of thing for us Restaurant of this quality and price range. The table side Cesar was delicious although too heavy on the dressing to lettuce ratio. The tortilla soup was good although a bit watery. My son loved his seafood pasta. Not many bottles of wine under $55. Overall, our experience was fine. We’ve been coming here for years, always hopeful that it’s improving. We love Cesar and we’re sorry that he was not working last night.
