Sartoria is the gastronomic proposal of Italian chef Marco Carboni (former chef at Osteria Francescana by Massimo Bottura), where he expresses the philosophy of his italian roots, based on the product, the season and a “hand-made” approach. The menu is focused on seasonality, and products are produced in a sustainable way by small-scale producers. At Sartoria, pasta is produced artisanally every day, respecting italian tradition and simultaneously embracing mexican produce. The warm ambiance of a traditional italian trattoria comes together with our vision of a contemporary osteria that is both dynamic and cosmopolite.Sartoria is a pet-friendly restaurant in the outside sitting area. Kindly let us know of your allergies and/or intolerances when making your reservation.

Our recent visit to Balcón del Zócalo was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm, kind service that made us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable, and their attentiveness truly stood out. The highlight of our visit, without a doubt, was the breathtaking view. Overlooking the historic Zócalo, the panoramic vista of Mexico City's iconic landmarks was simply mesmerizing. Whether we were enjoying a meal or simply sipping on a drink, the view added an unforgettable touch to every moment. We spent the day exploring the historic center of the city, soaking in its rich culture and vibrant energy, and Balcón del Zócalo was the perfect way to cap off our adventure. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and that incredible view made it an experience we’ll cherish. We can’t wait to return and relive this amazing experience. Balcón del Zócalo is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy the heart of Mexico City in style. Highly recommended!

We loved the novelty of dining in a sacred cave and found the menu intriguing and appealing. Unusual flavor combinations and very fresh. Helpful to have the menu in English as well as Spanish. The service was less satisfactory. The food came out almost all at once -- which felt rushed, and the drinks came out later than we had hoped after the first round of food was served. Very frustrating to have to wait 30 minutes to get the bill. Definitely worth doing!!!!
