Johnny’s Downtown, opened in 1993, is similar to the original Johnny’s Bar on Fulton Road, featuring pasta, veal and fish. The setting, a refurbished 1860’s Warehouse District building, formerly a general store, is the drinking and dining spot of locals and business people alike. Joseph Fall, the executive chef, oversees the food operations and is responsible for our crafting our signature dishes and creating daily specials. There are several wines by the glass to choose from and the wine list has nabbed an Award of Excellence from the Wine Spectator.     We absolutely loved the food and service. I had been looking forward to trying this place and it was everything I thought. The only down was when we first came in I gave our reservation name to the girl with long black hair and she was snippy. I kept telling her our last name and she showed her our confirmation and that our friends were already Sat and she was somewhat abrasive and combative instead of helpful. Another girl came up thankfully and walked us over to them.

    Overall great experience, menu variety and quality was top tier . Presentation of food was outstanding but taste was a killer bland had to use salt and pepper..we were there along side I big party so our wait time on food was longer then expected but management was very nice about the matter and acknowledged this on there own and accommodated us with free dessert.. other then that service was great and the ambiance was 10/10

    Food and service was excellent. The acoustics carry loudly with everyone talk in a cozy place so so wouldn’t recommend for a “quiet getting to know” first date but definitely bring them there on a one month anniversary haha

    We’ve dined at Blue Point before over the years, but tonight was by far our favorite time. We took my daughter for our annual Christmas dinner and it could not have been more perfect. Our server, Hailie was so kind and attentive. She made the experience truly special for my daughter. Our appetizer, entrees and desserts were perfect. The Christmas decorations at Blue Point are second to none and elicit the ambiance of a Manhattan restaurant during and holidays. We cannot recommend Blue Point or our server Hailie highly enough.
