- HHelenLiverpool/Merseyside •5 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had such a fantastic experience at Hawksmoor last night! Service, food, and atmosphere were all excellent. We took advantage of the BYOB Monday offer, which, if you're on a budget, helps lessen the blow to the wallet, as corkage is only £5 per bottle. As always though, you get what you pay for, and in this case what we got was really fantastic steak, with smoked salmon, caesar salad, and potted beef also amongst the highlights. Our server was brilliant, present and chatty without ever intruding. Same goes for the sommelier, who was really lovely. They were both great with my daughter, who is only 2, and had a lovely night also. Thanks very much for a great pre-Christmas get together!More infoHawksmoor LiverpoolPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Liverpool•4.6

Surroundings are beautiful, have visited the Ivy before in York but the building in Liverpool that used to be a bank is absolutely beautiful.More infoIvy LiverpoolPrice: Moderate• British• Liverpool•4.6

Breakfast is reasonably priced and freshly cooked with a good choice of a continental on top.More infoAberdunant HallPrice: Expensive• British• Porthmadog•4.9
- AAndrewYorkshire •1 review4.0Dined on 29 Nov 2024We planned a weekend break in Dolgellau and Y Sospan was booked two weeks before the trip. We last ate there in September 2023 so being keen to visit again is a strong recommendation. We both wanted the lamb shank and it was outstanding in quality and quantity. It's a really interesting building, the service was excellent, the whole experience just what we hoped for. We did, in fact, return for lunch, without booking, on Saturday as we were keen to give the Cafe Menu a try. It'll be on our wish list anytime we are in North Wales and want a decent meal.More infoY Sospan, Queen's Square, Dolgellau, UKPrice: Moderate• Bistro• Dolgellau•4.4
