Superb place really magical ambience. The staff were brilliant; friendly and attentive. Went for a Christmas meal with my daughter and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the ox cheek sublime. Can’t wait to go again next time in York.

Lovely evening here, nice and warm and felt cosy, busy too with a mix of all ages Gorgeous Calamari starter to share. My chicken salad was disappointing, soggy croutons and lots of the hard core from the chicory not really edible, we calmly mentioned it to the staff and they offered to bring more croutons and deducted it from the bill which was greatly appreciated My partners fish soup was delicious and he also enjoyed the banana panaches, coffee was pretty ok too. We Will definitely return and give it another go 😍

Service, food, atmosphere all faultless. Not a special occasion as such, met a friend for a regular catch up but was made special by being in The Ivy!

From the moment we entered the building the service was outstanding,confirming our booking and showing us your table,confirming my birthday. Not wanting a large meal we opted for fish and chips and a burger meal both arrived in good time and the good as I expected was 1st class. We had a couple of drinks and paid .a truly enjoyable birthday meal. Thankyou
