Restaurants near Greenwich Meridian Monument

Enjoyed a lovely meal with friends at the Ivy, Brighton on Tuesday for my birthday. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, the service was fantastic, gorgeous ambience and delicious food. We had the 2 course Heritage meal which was such good value, and had a glass of complementary English sparkling wine each and a dessert with candle as it was my birthday! Absolutely brilliant pizzas - mine was the white pizza with burrata and parma ham, my son had the daily special, a sort of spicy arrabiata with nduja. They offer 500cl carafes of wine, perfect for an early lunch. Do try the starters too - my nduja lasagne fritta were amazing. Very cheerful service, and prompt for a busy Saturday - but then we did book for 12 noon! By the time we left at 1, the was a queue of eight or so parties outside. We were very grateful to the table next to us for making sure we went to the football stadium by a sensible route and didn't try to walk!

So delicious and innovative throughout. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection (Ribeye which I highly recommend), the sides were creative and tasty and the waiting staff were incredible and attentive. Extra thanks to Archie for cooking the amazing food and keeping us entertained at the bar whilst we ate. Definitely returning again… and again… and again.

Food was served quickly, lovely and hot. Sadly they had run out of Sunday Roasts in the evening when we arrived but selection on menu was good. Great they serve food until 10pm. We joined in the pub quiz which was good fun too.
