Restaurants near Gretna Station Historical

Skyline was an excellent choice for my birthday dinner. My husband and I were seeking a new restaurant and happily discovered it. The atmosphere was delightful; not overly formal, but refined and stylish. While I'm not a food critic, our meal was superb. My husband appreciates a well-prepared shrimp and grits dish, and I have a similar fondness for salmon; we were both extremely satisfied. The food's flavor, portion size, and presentation were all exceptional. The staff were friendly, courteous, and efficient. I cannot recall our server's name, but her service was outstanding! We will certainly return and recommend Skyline to our friends. We eagerly anticipate enjoying the rooftop dining area in the springtime. A perfect discovery!

This was my third time at Six and Sky. As usual, the food was delicious and well plated. Unfortunately, changes continue. I’m used to seasonal menu changes at nice restaurants, but what changes here is either taking items away and/or raising prices. On my second visit, just two weeks after my first visit, the price of cocktails raised by $3 and $5 for a martini. When I asked, they claimed they increased the amount of vodka in a martini, but it was the same size as the last time. The $5 up charge for a martini is a bit much. This third time, they said they reworked the menu. For one of our favorite items, the seafood steamer, the increased the price by $4 yet removed the scallops and clams from the dish. They claimed they increased the size. They did not. The same two shrimp. There were 8 mussels…that might be two more than before. It was basically a bowl of calamari. If this were a truly brand new restaurant, I could almost understand. But this is a restaurant group that should already know portions and pricing. The food is still so delicious, so I will try again. I’m just hoping they don’t decrease the portions and the items we like.

Went for a birthday dinner.... excellent service! I wish I knew our servers name, she was extremely pleasant, professional, but somehow made us feel we were her special friends! Food was awesome, portions perfect, ...... Everything was on point!

This was our first visit but we will be back. Excellent food, drinks and service.

Surprised by food quality in a good way. Service was superior. I even commented to my wife that every staff member was HUSTLING and attentive. It was actually fun to watch. Very good experience.
