Restaurants near Hastings Farmstead

This was our first visit to the restaurant even though we visited the Casino dozens of times. We were very pleased with the menu selections, food quality and friendly service. Too bad the French fries were not home made, the baked potato could have been a little hotter, but not very serious. We certainly plan to visit this restin the future as we all enjoyed steaks.

Tyler provided excellent service! The BlackBerry smash drink was tasty and the burger with the suggested wine pairing was perfect. Our fries were lukewarm but everything was so great we didn’t mention.

The food was exquisite, we had gnocchi that was cooked properly, linguini with tiger shrimp also cooked to perfection. Marsala soup, so flavorful and a grilled cheese fit for a Queen.

A friend and I are staying at the Saranac Waterfront Lodge next door and decided to go to this restaurant next door for dinner. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and chose a table outside near the water. Kelly was our server and was very friendly, attentive and made excellent suggestions regarding the dinner menu. We both had the strip steak dinner. My friends was cooked to perfection (medium rare) but mine was a bit undercooked (medium well). The wine list was adequate and the Cabernet we chose was fantastic. After dinner we enjoyed a nightcap at the bar. Overall, this is a great place to eat. Dining on the water (Lake Flower) made it even more special. We will be back when visiting Saranac Lake in the future.

Had Caescar's salad with lots of chicken, well portioned salad. Onion rings as apetizer delicious when cooked extra crispy. The French Onion soup was tasty with lots of melted cheese. If you like chocolate, you will love the 6 layer chocolate cake, but ask for 2 forks because it is huge.
