Nestled beneath the iconic, vaulted ceilings of Grand Central Terminal, this legendary seafood haven delivers history, charm, and some of the freshest oysters and seafood in the city. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to a bygone era—where white-jacketed servers glide between tables, the warm glow of vintage lighting reflects off the beautiful tilework, and the hum of bustling diners creates an electric yet cozy atmosphere. The Food? Exceptional. Let’s talk oysters. The raw bar selection is unparalleled, featuring an ever-changing lineup of oysters from both coasts, each one expertly shucked and served at peak freshness. Whether you’re a fan of briny East Coast classics or creamy West Coast varieties, there’s something for every palate. Beyond oysters, their menu is a seafood lover’s dream. The New England clam chowder is rich, velvety, and packed with flavor. The lobster roll? Simply divine, generously stuffed with sweet, buttery lobster meat. The Experience? Iconic. Dining here isn’t just about the food—it’s about soaking in the history and nostalgia of an institution that has been serving New Yorkers and travelers alike since 1913. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite at the counter, sipping a martini at the bar, or settling in for a full meal, this place exudes old-school New York charm. - MMelissaNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoI had the best time! La Grand Boucherie has such a beautiful ambiance. Feels very chic when you enter. The bar is stunning. The staff was very friendly, bathrooms very clean. For starters my friend & I shared the ceaser salad. We each had a glass of Sancerre, perfect compliment to our meal. I ordered the Filet Mignon au poivre - it was perfection! I tried my friend’s Bavette au diane which was also fantastic. We shared a side of haricots vert- they were great as well. For dessert we shared profiteroles & the chocolate caramel tart. A great way to end our meal! Sooo good! The chocolate was not too sweet & not too bitter- it was practically perfect with every bite! The service was fantastic. The perfect last supper before my travels… Can’t wait to come back!More infoLa Grande Boucherie NYCPrice: Very Expensive• French• Midtown West•4.5

- JJohnMississippi •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoI picked this restaurant by looking at online reviews. I could not have made a better choice. Our reservation was on time. We walked in, sat down and were immediately greeted by our server. Emily was her name. She was without a doubt, one of the best servers I have ever had the pleasure of working with she treated my wife and me as if we were her only customer and we were the most important people in the restaurant. It was truly a special occasion for us. The food was everything that she had said it would be and everything that I read online. It was fabulous. We took her suggestions for some of the dishes we got and every suggestion she made was fantastic. I will go back to Carmines anytime I’m in New York City.More infoCarmine's - 44th Street - NYCPrice: Moderate• Italian• Theater District•4.6
