Best restaurant on the California Central Coast! Go there!

This was one of the best meals we’ve had in a while. The view was spectacular, the chowder one of the best from the Monterey Bay area and the sirloin, pork chop and ravioli all cooked to perfection. All other local restaurants we’ve been to charge extra for bread, but this one was complimentary and delicious. Our server was attentive and friendly. We will definitely go back.

My second experience at La Mia Cucina. I came fully prepared to have a salad and pasta, but couldn’t resist the sand dabs on the menu, and the minestrone sounded good, so…. Both were delicious, and just what I needed on a foggy night. Loved the garlic mashed potatoes, and I don’t think I’ve ever been served such a huge portion of fish in my life. The focaccia was light and perfect too. And then I treated myself to the Nutella bread pudding - yum! The restaurant itself feels like a warm hug. Lots of families celebrating the holidays. Lots of locals hugging the owners and one another. Just the right amount of attention from the servers. These people know how to run a restaurant, and it shows in every detail.

I chose Fandango for my birthday dinner because of its excellent and diverse menu, asking for a quiet corner. As it's popular and sometimes noisy, we went early to dodge the crowds. To my delight and gratitude, they seated us in a pleasant, small, quiet room by ourselves. Only by the time we reached dessert did a few other guests join us. It was perfect. The servers were thoughtful and attentive. I ordered sweetbreads, which are hardly served anywhere else, and while they weren't the best I've ever, they were very good. Our desserts were excellent. The whole experience met and exceeded my expectations and desires.

Always fun and delicious! Spotted Duck is consistent in offering an excellent dining experience. I have been in the food and wine world for over thirty years and I continue to rate Chef Jerry Regester at the top!
