From the moment you walk through the doors, you get a proper good Yorkshire pub feeling. The pub is split (to my knowledge) into four sections. To the left, you have the bar restaurant; behind that, the main restaurant; to the far right, the tap room; and I believe the accommodation is very far left/upstairs. I’ve been maybe 15 times since moving here and on two occasions to the tap room only for a drink with my good friend. The other times have been for meals in both the main and bar restaurants, either just with my partner or with two to three friends. The food, from starter to dessert (not forgetting the specials that regularly change), is quite possibly the best homely, hearty pub food I’ve had in my life! I have always been proud of the way I cook belly pork, but their belly pork puts mine to shame! There is a vast range of cold, hot, soft, and alcoholic drinks, but the Cruzcampo just hits the sweet spot for me! They also have local ales and IPAs available. Not forgetting the main element—the staff. Every single member of staff is more than happy to help, always with a smile on their face! It really does make a difference to your experience when the staff interact so well with their customers. The pub has a great atmosphere, and the acoustics are excellent—you can have a proper conversation at a normal volume without feeling like every word you say can be heard by all, and the same goes the other way. I don’t usually make a note of this, but I feel it’s important to mention that my partner and I are a same-sex couple, and the staff have always made us feel comfortable and welcome, with no judgment. We are very fortunate to call the Welly our local! Be warned: If cheesecake is on the specials menu, it won’t be there for long! 😋More infoWellington InnPrice: Moderate• Gastro Pub• Harrogate•4.9

- BBekahVirginia •2 reviews5.0Dined on 22 Feb 2025The lamb was excellent, polite wait staff, however the woman who waited at our table didn’t tell us she had a cold until she had stood over our table and handed us our food. We had to try to get someone’s attention to get water and extra bread plates.More infoThe Crown HotelPrice: Moderate• British• Harrogate•3.7
