Spending over 20 years in the music business, Max had always dreamed of a place he could create that catered for his love of great food and also be a relaxed and enjoyable space with a great soundtrack. He’s enlisted the help of long-term musical partner Simon Marlin who he enjoyed many years of success with under The Shapeshifters guise and launched in September 2016. With the boys long-term roots in West London it was always going to see Rubio begin its adventure close to home.

Through direct import and artisan production of our ingredients, we strive to keep alive our connection with our homeland. All our imported products are carefully selected from our native region. Our specialties, Piadina Romagnola, Garganelli and the famous Tortellini are handmade on site. We believe freshness is the key factor of quality. Therefore, our in-house production guarantees our customers are offered only fresh products prepared every day. All sauces are freshly cooked and each product is made by following the traditions from Bologna. The only items that are not directly imported by us are: meat, fish, fruit and vegetables. However, we get them from the best local markets.

    I love this family run restaurant in the heart of Queen's Park. The staff are very attentive, the food is delicious, the owners are wonderful and the prices are very reasonable. Great cocktails too!

    This was my first visit to Michiko Sushino. The sushi was really good, and perfect temperature. My only complaint was that I ordered a Ramen and wanted grilled rather than Katsu chicken, and the restaurant was unable to accommodate this request. I was quite surprised as other Japanese restaurants have done this for me. I ended up ordering the pork Ramen but left the meat as it was very fatty. The stock and noodles were very nice. I will definitely go back and order sushi again.

    We are here prior to Covid , and had one of the great meals of our lives . Back now , it’s even better - the duck parfait was ridiculously good , each dish was a new sensation . Wine pairings were excellent and very well thought out . Service was friendly and knowledgeable , and Chef was very engaging . Go if you can .
