Thank you all for making us feel welcome and for your excellent service. Another delicious meal-- Ceasar Salad with to-die-for pillowy croutons, perfectly prepared Truffle Risotto, sauteed spinach with fresh garlic and local butter, and housemade pistachio gelato with orange and almond biscotti. We were told by someone we rode a ski lift with that Saw Mill was the best restaurant near Mt. Snow. We tried Hermitage Inn and Two Tannery Road both highly rated on line, but were very disappointed. After those experiences we kept our expectations in check but were blown away by the cuisine at Saw Mill. The Crispy Duck strips were very original, the duck was just that very crispy while being a perfect medium rare and the flavor was outrageous, we could have had 3 orders of them. The Moules Frites were delicious as was the Beef Carpaccio, but the star of the night was the Cornmeal crusted Cod in a Bacon & Shrimp Chowder with Leeks. One of the best dishes I have had anywhere! Everything was delicious, the service was knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly and the ambiance was warm, charming and inviting. We can’t wait to go back again!

The ambiance was lovely - great space! I enjoyed my seafood pie, but I felt there was too much mashed potato in proportion to the amount of seafood in it. The arugula salad was terrific - plenty for two of us - as was the whipped feta with pears. My husband very much liked his meatloaf (it looked like a small portion of the meat to me, but he was fine with it). Our son really liked the scallops as well. There were five, which was generous, but the MP was $55, which is quite high for Brattleboro. We also weren't thrilled when our bill arrived and we found out that the sparkling water was $10, whereas our server only asked if we preferred filtered or sparkling water without mentioning the cost. We will gladly return, but knowing the cost in advance. The menu had some really good choices - the food was yummy and interesting without being dauntingly esoteric.

Outstanding restaurant in downtown Keene, NH. We had a lovely lunch here while on vacation.

We love this spot. Such a fantastic atmosphere, friendly people and staff, and wonderful food. It's a special place!
