Restaurants near Lake Street Pumping Station

We are big Peter Kelley fans, this new restaurant is excellent! The special cod was great and the veal with mushrooms was exceptional.

Enjoyed our dinner. All of our dishes: cauliflower, meatballs, salmon, lamb chops and tuna were delicious. Would look forward to returning in the future.

It was our second time here. We went for our anniversary. Food was delicious as I had remembered, and the service was very good, but it was so crowded and noisy which is what I expected on a Saturday night. We had a back corner table so I thought that may help, but it didn’t. Tables are too close together. We’ll go back but definitely not on a Saturday night.

Verla continues to be a great place to dine. There is literally something for everyone! All dishes are prepared with care and attention to detail. The chef is inventive and accessible, happily swapping a veg side for something else. You can’t go wrong at Vela. Great job, Michael!
