General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Upstairs you’ll find a completely different space that transports you to a peachy 80s dream.     Fantastic dinner tonight. We did the tasting menu which was a selection of the menu and each morsel was incredible. Highlight was the Bone Marrow and the luge finish with a shot of sherry for my daughter’s boyfriend. Perfectly executed! The Foie Gras Pintxo was my favourite. Incredible service that matched the food.

    We came here for the Orthodox Christmas Buffet and it was amazing! Everything was fresh and the staffs were very friendly. I would recommend asking the chef for thinner slices of meat at the carving station though, as I wasn't able to finish what he served.

    The food was top notch for Greek food, everything tasted so good, food was a bit pricey for what you get in quantity but that is expected. The $38 Greek wine was amazing. It is a tight space so you don’t have a lot of room and it is always packed which is expected beauties of how good the food was. Great experience and great food so what else can you ask for.

    The service and ambiance was great. Notable dishes were the challah and fluke and fennel. The fries were perfectly crispy and the broccoli was very flavourful. However, the ribeye was average, it lacked flavour but cooked properly yo medium rare.
