Chef Michael Scelfo of Alden & Harlow welcomes Waypoint, his second Cambridge restaurant. Located at the gateway of Harvard Square at 1030 Massachusetts Avenue, “waypoint” often means a plot point on a map. For Chef Scelfo, it signals a natural next step along his culinary journey. From live-fire pizza to raw bar and caviar service, to an expansive absinthe list, the menu at Waypoint reflects his forward-thinking approach to coastally-inspired fare combining approachable ideas and ingredients with elements that are unexpected.

Pammy’s is a New American restaurant inspired by the feel of an Italian neighborhood trattoria. Perched between Cambridge’s Central and Harvard Squares, Pammy’s is a cozy yet sophisticated neighborhood destination. For husband and wife team Chris and Pam Willis (who live right up the street), Pammy’s is an extension of their living room. They’ve brought together their love of great food, easy hospitality and chic vibes to create a lively space that is welcoming to all looking for a memorable meal. With dishes that lean heavily on Italian flavors but are not restricted by any rules of the cuisine, the food is unpretentious and delicious. A fireplace wrapped in white ceramic, an oversized salvaged communal table designed for side-by-side dining and rich leather banquets are just some of the design elements that make up Pammy’s charm. We're currently serving a Prix Fixe menu for all reservations. A la carte dining is available for walk-in guests at our bar and in our lounge.

This was the sixth or seventh year we have had our holiday lunch at Harvest. The food was superb and the wait staff is wonderful and gracious - especially as we litter the table with wrapping paper and a gift exchange over dessert. Harvest has not disappointed us yet! The burgers are always amazing, the Moules Frittes are the best I have ever had, cocktails are delicious and inventive (all except the Pilot which was sent back by 2 of us for being too syrupy), and the duck special was tender and delicious. Bon appetite!

Drink: Sage Advice 5/5 Food: Lobster Cacio e Pepe 4.5/5 Hickory Smoked Shrimp 7/5 (have an appetizer if you're hungry) Food was great. I had the lobster cacio e pepe. Noodles were cooked well unlike last time I was here in April. Waypoint a great in & out spot. You can tell the goal is to turnaround tables quickly. Wouldn't recommend for lounging after a meal due to noise level. $1 oysters makes the bar quite busy but seats seemed to move fast. Requested a booth and was placed near the kitchen, I personally didn't mind but beware of the clanking plates and silverware in your ear if you do sit on that side.
