Anatoli Souvlaki was opened by Helen & Thomas in the spring of 1984. They had a dream of combining the food of Greece with great service to add some Mediterranean style to the North Vancouver restaurant selection. They opened in the sleepy neighbourhood of lower Lonsdale and lived above the restaurant to ensure the quality and service.     It was my daughter’s birthday and initially we weren’t thrilled with the place where we were seated but the hostess moved us to a much nicer spot without complaint. She was very sweet actually. We had the vegan calamari and it was so good we ordered a second! The spanakopita dinner portion was enough for two people. The food was incredible. The EkMek was spectacular! The waitress was fantastic with a sweet and funny personality. The bellydancer was a beautiful added bonus! My daughter’s birthday experience was perfect. We really enjoyed ourselves.

    Very nice restaurant. The hummus is a must try as well as the mussels. There were two of us and three sharing plates would have been plenty but we had more and were full by the entree. The service was good and the atmosphere was lively. Would recommend and will be back.

    New Year’s Day brunch! The food was delicious, great service from Erin ( not rushed or scooted out , especially on a busy holiday seating) and loved the table view I had requested. Saw sea otters jumping & playing and an amazing view of the Port of Vancouver which holds a lot of special memories. Look forward to returning for another meal. Friend with us goes every 6 weeks for a treat.

    It was great and good food . Our sever was wonderful also . They closed at 8 but we stayed another 15 mins .
