Seasonal Local American Cuisine. We use many local products from local farmers. We are located about a mile west of the University of Virginia campus. Historic old home turned into a restaurant. Three small intimate dining rooms upstairs, one on the ground floor and a large weather protected patio. In the winter the Patio is heated. Family owned since 1995. We go to this place once every year at Christmas time to celebrate a birthday. I believe this is the 3rd or 4th year of us going back. It is a great spot — really good food and ambience. The service was incredible — we were assisted by Jack and his service, attention to detail, demeanour, positive vibes, etc etc was unbelievably good. It was such a pleasure all evening. When he realized we were celebrating a birthday he offered a Molton chocolate cake dessert on the house even though we had paid the bill, we asked for a cocktail recipe and he hand wrote it for us. It was little gestures like this that make it memorable. It made a really good dinner to be great and for that we are very appreciative.
