Jack Timmons grew up in Texas and has lived in Seattle for over three decades. In 2012, he attended BBQ Summer Camp at the Meat Sciences department of Texas A&M, then toured many historic barbecue temples of Central Texas. Returning to Seattle, he bought an offset smoker, imported some post oak, mesquite and hickory, and started the Seattle Brisket Experience.After more than a year of practicing the art of barbecue, and serving old-school, succulent smoked meats to thousands of Northwest BBQ fans at ‘BBQ Raves’, Jack opened his first restaurant in the South of Downtown (SoDo) area of Seattle – Jack’s BBQ in 2014.At our newest location on the border of Bellevue and Redmond, we serve authentic Central Texas Barbecue with Brisket, Ribs, Sausage and Chicken.     Matt’s is a long time favorite in our family. We moved 40 min away 10 years ago, but tonight we returned for a date night dinner and still love everything about this place. We enjoyed the wine (Mark Ryan Malbec), the oysters, two salads and my husband revisited his favorite meatloaf. All prepared to perfection as always. Our date night included a 60 min visit at Cloud 9 Foot Spa just minutes from Matt’s. It was a perfect night. Thanks Matt’s!

    Great food, friendly staff and chef. Prices are a little steep, but expected for specialty dining and in a high rent location. Salmon sushi was excellent and the calamari steak was good as well.

    We love Jack’s. It’s true Texas barbque that always delivers. We tried the steaks and Cesar and they were delicious. We’ve also taken their smoking classes and they are well worth the time!

    This is a really fun place to come with family. We had between ages 10 in grandkids to oldest grandson in his 30s plus parents and grandma. Everyone has their favorites at BJs and of course a couple of the kids come just for pizzokies.

    I particularly want to give a shout out to our server who checked for food allergens and made lemonade from scratch because you didn't carry it. He was so thoughtful and efficient and really made the experience outstanding.
