A couple notes about the Taverna-We stop taking day of reservations after 4pm. Please call the restaurant after 4pm.We do not accept parties of 4 people or more. We are a small restaurant with only 22 seats and cannot accommodate larger parties. Established in April of 2015, The Taverna serves authentic Greek fare while remaining true to our Greek roots. We had a great experience. We ate in the outdoor pods/ igloo and it was fun. They were warm and charming. Our waiter Drew was great. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for downtown Portland.

Best meal I’ve had in Portland. Our server was knowledgeable and eager to explain as well as serve. She obviously liked working there which says a lot about a restaurant. The choices were vast, the combination of sauces and ingredients were balanced. The tuna was out of this world, the pasta was perfection and the lamb melted in our mouths.
