Restaurants near Mount Cuba Astronomical Observatory

I’ve been going to this restaurant since the late 90s off and on and it’s always been a wonderful experience and tonight proved the same and I am so thrilled that they still exist and that they are a true staple anytime I stay at Montchanin. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Columbus Inn is the best choice for brunch in this area. Excellent food and service and moderate prices. The only criticism I have is that when there is a large group, and there often is, the noise level is really loud. This is Moore the fault of guests who seem to need to out show each other. But if you go at 10 AM, you can generally Have a quiet table and a very nice meal indeed.

Had an amazing time for our first experience at The Back Burner. Diana was quick to ask if it was our first time & once we said it was she talked us around the menu. Telling us that they sell crazy amounts of the “better cheddar”, you get a great amount of flatbread which has a homemade pita chip vibe. We had the crab bisque which was so good my fiancé almost forgot to share any with me! We split the wedge salad, which was so refreshing. He got the short rib and I got the salmon Wellington. We had to get all that bagged up so we could try out some dessert. We got the raspberry crème brûlée, it was so tasty.

Great food and service. Food was hot and our waitress very attentive and prompt. Overall fabulous experience as we have experienced before. This is always a favorite choice for his birthday celebration.

Our server Larry was knowledgeable, gracious, and checked in with our party just often enough. His service elevated our experience and he even caught in passing it was one of our birthdays. Sparkler on our shared dessert was a nice touch without making the birthday gal the center of the entire restaurant's attention.
