Friends and I went to the Pajama Brunch on New Years Day at the White Dog Cafe in Chester Springs. This is the first that I have been to this new White Dog. It is wonderful. It has tons of character and many small rooms. They have retained the country charm of the old home. The food is always excellent. My two friends had the specials, which were yummy. The waffles with fruit compote and syrup with a taste of coffee were delicious. I recommend White Dog for a terrific dining experience.

This was our second visit to the Noble Goat, and this time we brought some friends. Once again the Noble Goat team did not disappoint. It started with our wonderful server Courtney. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. As for appetizers and main dish, simply fabulous! Our guests enjoyed their meals as well and definitely plan on coming back. We had the cucumber, tomato, and onion and green pepper salad with lemon vinaigrette (delicious salad!) We shared the spanokopita appetizer which was crispy on the outside and firm but tender on the inside (delicious!) We also each had the short ribs over mashed taters with asparagus, string beans, and zucchini. The short ribs were fork-tender and tasty but very salty. No dessert, we were stuffed.

Fantastic! Already planning to visit again! We had planned a visit to Longwood Gardens on the evening of Christmas Day, not expecting to find a restaurant open for dinner afterwards. After an internet search and a phone call, we were delighted to discover that this Italian restaurant was indeed open on the biggest national and spiritual holiday of the year when chain stores and restaurants are closed. We made reservations for 7:30 PM on Christmas day. From the moment we approached the front door until we left, we were smitten. The place was packed full of couples and families with older children. Clean and well-lit parking garage was just steps away, the wait staff were knowledgeable and attentive (not to mention very handsome with thick Italian accents), the food was to die for, and the ambiance was charming. We wish we lived closer so we could eat here more often!
