- TTimVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •32 reviews5.0Dined todayA Michelin Star Romance in Carlsbad: David and I recently indulged in not one, but two incredible dinners this week at Jeune et Jolie, our favorite culinary escape in Carlsbad. And yes, we did briefly entertain the idea of sneaking in a third visit—though we joked with our server Kyle that it might veer into “too much of a good thing” territory. (Let’s be honest, there’s no such thing when it comes to Jeune et Jolie.) This restaurant continues to deliver an experience that’s polished yet effortlessly comfortable. The menu is a masterclass in balance, with each dish more inventive and satisfying than the last. The wine list? A delight. The sommelier’s thoughtful recommendations added a whole new dimension to our meal, pairing perfectly with the flavors while making us feel like connoisseurs (we’re not, but we’ll take it). The service, as always, struck just the right note—attentive without hovering, warm without overstepping. Kyle and the rest of the team make you feel like old friends, creating an easy, elevated vibe that feels personal but never pretentious. The space itself remains a jewel: sophisticated, lively, and effortlessly chic. Dining here feels like being part of a well-kept secret, even with the Michelin star glittering proudly in the background. Reservations through OpenTable were smooth (thank you for that!) and a lifesaver, given the popularity of this spot. It’s no surprise Jeune et Jolie is a North County San Diego darling—it’s intimate, innovative, and worth every bite. We’ll be back—probably sooner than we should admit. For now, we’ll revel in the memory of those two perfect dinners, knowing a third visit isn’t entirely out of the question. Cheers to the entire team!More infoJeune et JoliePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French• Carlsbad•4.9

We live within walking distance of the restaurant and this has become our favorite eatery in Bressi Ranch. We keep returning with friends trying it for the first time and they love it as well!More infoFish BoonPrice: Moderate• Sushi• Carlsbad•4.8
- TToddSan Diego •5 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoAlways great meals at Campfire! For pro's - all the food was fantastic! Started with Oysters, Prawns, Olives, Broccoli, Lamb and a nice red blend (cryptography) - Had Ribeye, Sea Bass, Octopus and baked potato side - all wonderfully presented and flavored. Followed with 1 each of the three available desserts - the standard S'more with in house made marshmallows, the Guava dessert and the ice cream sandwich - fantastic! Love the place and definitely will be back again and again! Servers explained everything and were super friendly! Things that would be cool - still having the Tomahawk on the menu! Also, a better way to make the S'mores would be grand! We rested a cookie on a spoon on the brickets and got the chocolate a bit warm - and did the marshmallows on the sticks - but would be great to get a little more heat on the chocolate for melt-iness levels... Hope we can get there again soon, we enjoy the wonderful food and service - and tell all our friends they have to go!More infoCampfirePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Carlsbad•4.8
- KKristiSeattle / Eastern Washington •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoThis is a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal with friends. The warm reception you receive when you arrive is carried through by a thoughtful and attentive service staff. The menu offers a wide variety of choices to appeal to any appetite. Every item we have ordered has always met or exceeded our expectations. The tacos are always a great choice and the burger is consistently good—never disappoints. The filet is what you would expect from a top-end steak house. A sneaky good option are the flatbreads. A mark of a great local restaurant in a touristy area is learning how many locals identify it as a great place to go.More infoLe Papagayo CarlsbadPrice: Moderate• American• Carlsbad•4.6
