Restaurants near Oakwood Hills Fen Nature Preserve

Other than a very loud and obnoxious women sitting at the table behind us talking loudly and swearing every other word we had a wonderful experience! All the entrees were delicious. A couple of us tried the special (butternut squash ravioli with lobster and shrimp) which should be on the menu all the time. The drunken shrimp appetizer was excellent. We enjoyed a couple of bottles of white wine. Overall “E” was very attentive and checked with us often. Excellent server!!

Crystal Lake Junction is now my favorite casual food restaurant. The menu is broad in scope and the SmashBurger was awesome. We stated with soup as a side. The beer was cold. The greeting and service were the highlights. When new to a restaurant, you anticipate what you read in the reviews but the staff make the atmosphere complete.

Farm to table with the kitchen being totally gluten free. The mushroom soup was favorite. The food was really good, but the service was spread across to many tables to give us much attention.

The food was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. The Christmas decor was festive. We had a great meal on Christmas Eve. We each had a sale to start with; my husband had the table side Caesar and I had a house salad. Both were fresh and delicious. For our mai meals, my husband had the cedar plank salmon. It was cooked exactly as he asked and the flavors were great. I had the miso glazed sea bass with black rice. The blend of flavors was tasty and delicious. For dessert, the Sticky toffee pudding is a must and it did not disappoint. Our server was Kevin. He was knowledgeable of the menu and very pleasant and attentive. We have dined at Region before and it was extremely special to be recognized by servers that have waited on us in the past. For a great meal with attentive service and comfortable surroundings, Region is a must.

First time dining at Vine and Plate. Food was excellent and paired nicely with wine (they have a nice list). Service (Amber) was knowledgeable and enjoyable to have serve. We will go there again.
