Restaurants near Old Douglas Center Historic District

When contemplating a restaurant for my birthday, Assados was my first choice. Boy, was I not disappointed! The food was exceptional, the waitress (Elizabeth) very accommodating for changes in the menu, and the ambience very friendly for a sweet get together with close friends. The fireplace was warm and inviting as well. Clearly the owners take pride in their restaurant and staff. It’s a gem!

We’ve enjoyed another dinner at Alicante and it is our go to place for a guaranteed fantastic meal. Jessica waited on us and recommended a Cabernet that was outstanding. She took the time to discuss wines and offered other recommendations that we’ll purchase at our local store. Alicantes is a hidden gem in Mendon and I’d put it up against any restaurants in Boston and Providence. Well worth the trip.

Did not get correct steaktips .. baked potatoe came out with meal..ordered risotto.. and potato skins extra crispy.. or over done.. waitress asked if she could fix it but was to late into meal.

We’ve been to the Hudson location many of times. This location was just as fantastic. Seemed a lot bigger which was great considering reservations for two adults and three kids can be tricky, especially on a holiday such as Valentine’s Day! Our waitress was wonderful and playful with the children. Food was absolutely delish!

This has been our go to place to go out to eat. The food and service is always excellent. Staff is pleasant and quick to tend to diners needs or wants. The managers routinely check on us when eating to make sure everything is to our satisfaction. Well worth the extra money going out to eat.
