Lavagna opened its doors on February 1st 1999.The restaurant offers casual Italian trattoria fare at moderate prices.     LOVE Bondst. My favorite Japanese resto in NYC 25 years and counting. And I love how they take care of their regulars. Best order... Yuzu Martini, crab salad, tuna crispy rice, spicy crispy shrimp, chicken katsu bao, miso sea bass skewers, and chocolate lava cake.

    Lavagna is definitely a diamond in the ruff when it comes to authentic Italian food. I’ve been to Italy over a dozen times and their food and the their recipes are as good as any restaurants in Rome, Florence, Sorrento and beyond. The wine selection was excellent and the service experience was spot on. Kudos to the chef and the owners. 100% Deliciousioso!!!

    We had an incredible dining experience with the service, food and intimate ambiance. Shout out to the manager Mark for his exceptional warmth and hospitality as well as Joe our very knowledgeable server and Zach and Andy our bussers. The whole team work seamlessly to ensure a flawless dining experience. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

    The food was incredible . Umami for sure. The staff was also amazing. The woman who seated and served us was extremely helpful and attentive to everyone in the restaurant at once. She ran that room like a pro to say the least. It was New Year's day as well the place was packed on a holiday and the staff was taking care of a full restaurant and take-out orders that seemed non stop for the 90 minutes we were there. They earned and deserved the Michelin star. And I loved the sketches of the restaurant that were hung throughout the restaurant among the many old photos . Will definitely be back soon.
