La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm.     What a great find this is in Midtown for a little luxury. Bit of a splurge, but you really get the whole experience. Service was fantastic, beautifully decorated for Christmas and the whole restaurant is just gorgeous. My sandwich was excellent, as was my cocktail. Highly recommend if you’re looking for the full experience.

    My friend and I chose Becco for our pre-theatre celebration of my milestone birthday. The servers could not have been nicer or more attentive. We each chose their special of ceasar salad or antipasto and entree of 3 different pastas. The food was delicious and plentiful. We couldn’t even finish it. We topped other off with the tri-flavor sorbet dessert in which they put a candle and sang happy birthday to me. It was a very special dining experience.

    Food was quite wonderful, surprisingly so for a venue close to theater. A little noisier than I would have liked but to be proximate to our show (7 PM curtain) made it a worthwhile trade-off. Would absolutely return, my new "go to" restaurant for theater evenings.
