Restaurants near Plainville Crossing Shopping Center

The food was excellent, just overpriced compared to other restaurants of the same level. The menu also needs an update. I wish it were more like Corfinio which is your other property. You need to include those amazing Brussel sprout appetizer that they have at Corfinio. Also, get rid of the TV, nobody wants to see the news while they are out enjoying dinner and trying to escape. We were seated directly across from the kitchen. While it is fun seeing things prepared, all the food runners, delivery orders, etc were all happening inches away from us which made the atmosphere less romantic.

We went to the resturant day after Valentine's day was very busy and our reservation was at 5;15 but we were seated right away never felt rushed. Our waitress Chloe was excellent so pleasant very attentive even with all her tables. There was no parking , but they actually had a van thst you followed and then was brought back and forth to your car very nice especially was snowing . Everything was delicious and hot even with the amount of patrons. The seafood stuffed mushrooms were to die for. Mary Ann P

Great experience...from the friendly hostess...attentive and friendly waitress to the manager checking how everything was, we were very pleased. Food was very good and reasonably priced. The topper was the rose on each table and complimentary chocolate covered strawberries for my wife and I. Valentine's Day can be challenging for restaurants, but Union Straw was more than up to it.

Our favorite starter -- pickle chips -- were delivered quickly and HOT! Must've been right from the fryer. We appreciated that. The meals (greek salad w/salmon, mushroom & ricotta flatbread pizza) were good. Personally, the globs of ricotta scattered on the pizza don't add anything to it. I'll ask for it without the cheese next time. Chocolate chip cookie for dessert was different from what I remember. I remember a flat cookie in a small cast iron frying pan. This was shaped more like a muffin. I like the flat one better. It was unusually (and very pleasantly) quieter than normal. Given that it was lunch time on a Thursday, the place was almost empty.

This was our first time dining at Luciano's and everything was outstanding. The food was spectacular and our server was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and wonderful to talk with. I recommend Luciano's for a wonderful night out.
