Judith is a new American tavern pairing warm hospitality and the cooking of James Beard Nominated Chef Julia Sullivan (Henrietta Red in Nashville) located in the quiet area of Sewanee, TN near the University of the South. The name is an homage to Judith Ward Lineback, the first woman to matriculate into the University in 1969.As Sullivan’s first solo project, Judith will feature a seasonal menu of creative and approachable dishes including a selection of small, shareable plates perfect for the bar crowd. The food was outstanding. Really, amazing. We were seated right next to the entrance, which was not ideal, yet, still a wonderful experience. Server was a little nervous at the start and not familiar with the bourbon choices. She settled in and was fine. A delightful evening.

Food and services was great. I had reservations for 12:45, arrived early at approximately 12:37 and checked in. Was told I would be sent a text closer to 12:45. Went back in around 12:50 and was told they were still working the 12:30 reservations. This is unacceptable.

I have been a regular customer for some time. The food is good. Service is good. Currently they had some specials in addition to the regular menu. This included creme brûlée which I really like.

Our server was wonderful, I didn’t remember her name . But she made our experience and our senior-engagement day very memorable. The food was very delicious. And we appreciated everyone there.
