The moment we walked into La Grande Boucherie DC we felt welcomed. The hostess at the entrance shared a little about the beautiful venue before seating us. PRETTY COOL BAR! Our waiter, Steven welcomed us again before introducing himself. His attention made our visit special, as well as the overall staff. We ordered the lobster bisque and the pear salad, the salmon and the steak frites and shared a cheesecake for dessert. We certainly enjoyed our food and dining experience. La Grande Boucherie in NY had already made a good impression on us when we organized a large gathering with family and friends. This was the perfect choice for our Valentine's Day engagement. We were split between the Family Style southern menu and the Valentine's Day menu. Both looked good but the southern style gave the best taste of what Succotash is all about. Our server Eric made it an amazing experience! He brought us a special dessert and really helped make it a special occasion. We will always remember our special day and the family style meal at Succotash

Food was very good. Bar was a little backed up on Valentine’s Day so we didn’t receive our drinks until almost the end of our meal. Highly recommend making a appointment on open table for holidays or anytime. Our wait was 15 minutes for a table because we were that early for our reservation other folks walking in were waiting 75 to 90 minutes.

They have had since 1856 to perfect the art of service. They have not wasted a bit of that time. We had a server and he was fantastic. With that, the entire brigade worked as a fantastic machine and supported the goal of quick and perfect service for the guest. I have never had apps arrive so quickly at a restaurant before. I even threw another order in while ordering our main course and it was on the table 2 minutes later. The quality of the food is top notch as well. The roast beef sandwich had a bit of bite on it that was unexpected but definitely not unappreciated. As I was dinning with my 13 year old son tonight, I also appreciated the non alcoholic options on the drink menu. It was great to have a delicious option that wasn't a soda. Overall, this is a MUST for any visit to DC.
