Wow what a spot! We made a last minute reservation on Christmas and did not know what to expect. It was an experience. From the food, performances, sing along music, service, food presentation, absolutely outstanding! We heard the spot is always fun and lively. If you have kids and are looking for a fun dinner it is great and even more perfect for a date or group night out! One of the top places we have ever dined in the world hands down!

Dined here for a Christmas family dinner. The food was excellent and although it was expensive, I would say it wasn’t as badly priced given the fact that it was a 4 course meal. The portions aren’t very large though, so either eat something beforehand and then dine, or be prepared to eat a light meal afterwards.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Metate. All the dishes were unique and delicious. It was the best dinner we had in Cabo. The service was attentive and helpful. We reserved on open table but the only reservation we could get weeks before our dinner was at 9:30 pm which is a little late. When we arrived there were only a few of tables occupied in a large restaurant. We would have changed our reservation to an earlier time had we known or were contacted by the restaurant. Other than that, it was a memorable experience.

We first visited this restaurant when there were 3 tables. They are generous with their portions and food quality is very good…..except for the soggy fish tacos! We wanted to send them back but it would have interrupted the flow. Price point encourages us to visit a couple times each Cabo visit and food is excellent. You have to be in the mood for noise - the band moving from table to table can really be tooooo much. We had a big bday table next to us and they played for 5 songs straight during which time we could not have a conversation. Would be great to have piped in music. Overall this is one of my current favorite restaurants in Cabo. Never change the mole recipe as it’s absolutely delicious.

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Pricey of course but that was expected. The black miso cod was the star of the night, but everything was outstanding from the service, the view, to the food and presentation.
