They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation.     We had another excellent meal. For appetizers we got the house salad which was very good. Entrees included braised short ribs, chicken piccata and salmon. All were excellently prepared and tasty. We will be returning again and again to this neighborhood gem.

    It was my girlfriend’s birthday so I wanted to treat her to a nice dinner. We have heard of Linwoods but have never been. I made the reservation on Open Table…I received a call to confirm my appointment. I wrote on the reservation that it would be my girlfriend’s birthday so the waiter Ami (sp?) greeted her with a happy birthday wish and brought out a homemade s’mores dessert with a custom marshmallow. We both had fish, I had the pan seared Halibut and she had the Salmon. She opted for the Malbec and I had an Old Fashioned with Angel’s Envy bourbon! The best!
