At 13:00 in the afternoon on a weekday the cafe was not crowded. Lovely atmosphere, great food and service.

Food was really good. I love octopus and my wife enjoyed the gambas. Service was attentive, ambience was casual and great. Just became a bit loud when tables were filled. Only odd part was we were reminded that there was a 2 hr limit, and were given 7 minutes to settle. We were not allowed to order our desserts or even complete the meal with dessert takeout of the chocolate cubes. The tables with 2 and 4 guests who had later reservations, actually received their entrees ahead of us, yet we were rushed. We were a party of 3 only, my wife and I ordered salads. My niece’s order was the tuna on risotto. Was it because we were behind the wall, unseen, or I asked for more bread? I’ll still return when I’m back in Berlin, hopefully in more relaxed conditions.

Thank you for making our Valentines Day so special! We absolutely cherished every moment of this dining experience! Starting from the uniquness of the place (former women prison) and the great choice of wonderful dishes, up to our favourite highlights of the evening: the really high-end, elegant, with enormous knowledge and best attention service (thank you Johnny!) together with a discovery of the pre-selected, non-alcoholic wines which for was for me a definite discovery of the evening. Thank you and it was definitely not our last visit there! :)

Great service and delightful food. As a Berliner nice to have this place. Will come again...

Staff were very friendly and quick and super helpful. Our table mostly ordered weinerschnitzels and everyone said they were excellent. Definitely one of the best ones I’ve had. Kaiserschmarren were also delicious.
