Sokrates Greek Taverna on Winter Hey Lane in Horwich is a relaxed, friendly restaurant serving dishes from Greece, Cyprus and Eastern Mediterranean. Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca.     The food was outstanding. All meals were delicious and well presented. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. I have been a few times now and will definitely return. Loved the Christmas decorations too. Very festive

    Outstanding food and value for money. The staff are incredible and were very accommodating to our Gluten-Free needs. So many GF options to explore for the future and the highlight was the GF Apple Pie for dessert!! The only slight draw back was how loud it was as we visited on a very busy Saturday night. But the overall experience was fantastic and we will be returning for sure!

    Every time I go it’s amazing, not once have I been and not enjoyed the food the atmosphere the service. Nick and Christine efficient fabulous nothing is too much trouble. Get the Meze it’s good value for money and everything on it is amazing
