Excellent food, friendly unobsequious service, high energy neighborhood ambience - a great evening!

Good vibes as soon as you enter. Pleasant and efficient service. Five people tasting five different dishes, all Excellent: Fried calamari and Caesar salad, mussels in a tomato base sauce, chicken and pear salad, and a pasta dish. Gelato and expresso for dessert. Just a warm relaxing place to eat and enjoy an afternoon or evening out.

Golden beet salad was great and they were generous with the beets. The wild mushroom bread appetizer was phenomenal. Great sauce (almost like a stroganoff). Steak sandwich was served w an au jus and was juicy. My bride had the lobster Mac and cheese. Very buttery and rich. Perfect lunch. Despite being a little early they sat us before our reservation time. It was our anniversary and we got a special card and great complimentary dessert. Over all wonderful meal

First time here in many years and it did not disappoint. We had a delicious meal & several appetizers before. The service was great-very attentive. The pasta dish was amazing as was the shrimp & grits. My son seemed pleased with the salmon jerk bowl, too. The live music was an added pleasure as the female singer & band members were very talented! I would highly recommend!

Massawa is absolutely terrific. We were a group of five and shared the vegan and meat platters. Everything was delicious, especially the lamb stew and red lentil dish. They were very accommodating of my daughter who has celiac disease. Thoroughly enjoyable meal!
