Restaurants near Sandusky Scenic River State Access Area

This is a classy, quality restaurant with high standards for their food, chef, wait staff, etc. We had a very enjoyable dinner experience early in the evening. We were seated in a very comfortable booth. As other patrons came in to dine, they were NOT all seated in the same section but spread out in different areas of the restaurant so each set of patrons could have a quiet, relaxed meal. We greatly appreciated this because there was almost no background noise to get in the way of conversation at our table. We both had fish for our entree, and both dishes were beautiful and tasty. The lobster bisque and fried brussels sprouts were both exceptional appetizers. We are just regular folks on a fixed income, so we won't be here very often, but the dining experience here is very, very good!

Our waitress made our experience there a really good and memorable one. It was our first time there and our waitress (Lexi) was really kind, sweet, and funny. On top of that, the food and drinks were really good. The ambience could have been a little darker because I felt that it was a little too bright especially at night but I would definitely go back to eat at this restaurant and recommend it to friends/family.

Even though we were last minute reservation, because of a cancellation, we were seated in the side room. It was quiet and a delightful space! Cass was our server and she was fantastic! Everyone enjoyed their food - all the food and drinks were phenomenal! We will definitely return!!

My husband and I enjoyed Valentines Day at IronWood Steakhouse. The food was fabulous. Our server was outstanding. We definitely enjoyed the piano player during our meal. It gave the evening a special touch. This is the second year choosing IronWood for our Valentines Day date night. I am looking forward to visiting again.

Four of us went for a 1:30 reservation on Valentine’s Day. At that time it was not crowded, we were not rushed; it was a very leisurely lunch. Our server was professional knowledgeable. I look forward to another visit. We ordered from the lunch menu, 2 of us ordered smash burgers, another a salad with chicken topping, and I had the flat iron steak. We were all pleased. The truffle fries were delicious. And the extra salad I ordered to go with the steak and fries was just the right size, perfectly dressed. The cocktails 2 of us had were exceptional. I had a pear martini with sage simple syrup (not sure if that’s how it was described) and my friend had the fig and vanilla martini. We were both happy!
