The moment we walked into La Grande Boucherie DC we felt welcomed. The hostess at the entrance shared a little about the beautiful venue before seating us. PRETTY COOL BAR! Our waiter, Steven welcomed us again before introducing himself. His attention made our visit special, as well as the overall staff. We ordered the lobster bisque and the pear salad, the salmon and the steak frites and shared a cheesecake for dessert. We certainly enjoyed our food and dining experience. La Grande Boucherie in NY had already made a good impression on us when we organized a large gathering with family and friends. From the moment we stepped inside we were greeted with warm hospitality and a charming European-style ambiance that makes us feel welcome. The menu offers a good selection of traditional German dishes, from hearty bratwurst and schnitzel to delicious potato pancakes and freshly baked pretzels. The flavors are rich and authentic, and the ingredients taste fresh and high-quality. We tried the sauerkraut balle and the stroganoff were fantastic! Also, the selection of German beers and specialty drinks added to the experience, making it a great spot for dining. The service was friendly and attentive and ensured a great dining experience. Overall, Café Berlin brings the heart of Germany to DC. Whether you’re a fan of German cuisine or simply looking for a cozy spot with great food and atmosphere, this café is a must-visit.

This is the spot if you want good food, amazing service and great ambiance. A friend recommended this place and it did not disappoint. It was a good Valentine’s Dinner.

I can’t get over how incredible our server was. Elvis immediately acknowledged that we were vegetarians and had accommodations made for even the fixed Valentine’s Day menu. We truly appreciate it. And not to forget, but the food was incredible. I would go back and eat an entire bowl of the beet salata

They have had since 1856 to perfect the art of service. They have not wasted a bit of that time. We had a server and he was fantastic. With that, the entire brigade worked as a fantastic machine and supported the goal of quick and perfect service for the guest. I have never had apps arrive so quickly at a restaurant before. I even threw another order in while ordering our main course and it was on the table 2 minutes later. The quality of the food is top notch as well. The roast beef sandwich had a bit of bite on it that was unexpected but definitely not unappreciated. As I was dinning with my 13 year old son tonight, I also appreciated the non alcoholic options on the drink menu. It was great to have a delicious option that wasn't a soda. Overall, this is a MUST for any visit to DC.
