- RrobertOrange County •24 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoValley high is our family San Diego go to restaurant and has been for the last 15 years, possibly longer. What keeps us coming back is the great food and the best mai tai this side of Dukes in Hawaii, paired with spectacular views of the San Diego skyline and Coronado Bay, and great service and affordable prices. The ambience is a wonderful, kitschy throwback to very best that mid-century Tiki has to offer. OpenTable always makes it so much easier, so long as you plan ahead. We’ll be back there again sometime soon! You can count on that!!More infoBali Hai RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Polynesian• Shelter Island / San Diego Bay•4.6
- NNorikoVIPSan Diego •19 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had a fantastic time at Herb & Wood. Since we were both busy on Valentine’s Day, we decided to celebrate on Saturday instead. From the moment we arrived, everyone at the restaurant greeted us warmly and made us feel truly welcome. Our reservation was at 5 PM, so the restaurant wasn’t too crowded yet, but even as it filled up, the level of attentiveness remained exceptional. Our waiter, Troy, was friendly, knowledgeable, and offered great recommendations. For appetizers, we had the Sicilian Crudo and one of Troy’s suggestions—a warm dinner bread served with butter, honey, and herbs. I don’t remember the exact name, but it was absolutely delicious! For our main courses, my husband had the Iberico Pork, and I had the Roasted Branzino. The Branzino was packed with herbs and flavors—I usually can’t finish a large meal, but I couldn’t stop eating it. We were too full for dessert, though I wish we had saved room! It was our first time at Herb & Wood, but it’s now on our list of favorite restaurants for special occasions.More infoHerb & WoodPrice: Expensive• Californian• Little Italy•4.7

- JJeanSan Diego •15 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWhat an AMAZING evening! The service at Cesarina was impeccable. Every person that approached us was warm, friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. From the focaccia to the soup to the pastas and Tiramisu everything was delicious. We enjoyed an early Valentine’s celebration and it was lovely. The ambiance is cozy and warm. I especially loved the little touches of the hot water bottle and blankets to keep us toasty warm. Irish was so friendly, making time to check in on us and share the story of the restaurant. A true gem, can’t wait to return.More infoCesarinaPrice: Moderate• Italian• Ocean Beach•4.8
- KKathyLos Angeles •2 reviews5.0Dined on 29 Nov 2024We drove to San Diego for Thanksgiving because of the special meal offered. We had reservations, as recommended in the email I received. We were seated quickly, we had a choice of half booth ot table so we chose half booth. We had cocktails before our 1st course, salad or creamy pumpkin soup. We were able to sit comfortably, we were not rushed to eat our appetizer. Our main course was served. Beautiful plate of food was served on square plates. Loved it. The food all over was fantastic: easy to slice ham, moist turkey and stuffing, perfectly cooked green bean casserole, yummy mashed potatoes, crushed cranberries and rolls. By the time we were ready for dessert we were definitely full. What a great meal, and very tasty, you can taste the alcohol cocktails. 5 stars all around.More infoQuarterdeck Restaurant- Bay Club Hotel And MarinaPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Shelter Island / San Diego Bay•4.1
