Restaurants near Standard Park

Not our first visit and very hopefully not our last. A very comfortable restaurant, both physically and psychologically, with a real commitment to good and friendly service. A very varied menu well delivered. My wife and I went with our son and grandson, all adults. I had the rotisserie chicken which was, as usual, excellent. My wife had the grits and crayfish which she really enjoyed. Our grandson tried and really like the fish and our son had the wonderful chicken pot pie. There is a slant here towards "southern" dishes, which is he only place locally which I know of which has that. Overall a very pleasant evening excellently "overseen" by manager Beth and server Nico. We look forward to many returns.

We dined during happy hour to try a variety of different dishes. For any fellow pescatarians out there, the tuna (cold tapa) and shrimp (hot tapa) were not to miss. We also had the spicy pickled veggies, the yucca fries, and the Brussels sprouts (without the chorizo) - all were delicious. My favorite signature cocktail that I tried was the pisco sour. We didn’t have room for dessert but would happily dine here again!

We had a delightful and delicious dinner at this charming restaurant in a historic home in downtown Steamboat. Firstly, it is a house and feels so warm and welcoming from outside with beautiful lit trees. Then when we arrived, Jamie showed us to our table. Worried that we might be crowded, he had also reserved a nearby two top. We didn’t need it, but we really appreciated his thoughtfulness. We enjoyed our round table which enabled our group of 7 to talk to one another. Our server was super attentive and kind, and we all enjoyed the high quality, well prepared dishes, drinks and deserts. My nephew said the duck he ordered was the best he had ever had. For me, the homemade rosemary focaccia style bread was a highlight along with homemade gelato and chocolate sauce. We also really enjoyed the decor and ambiance. We will definitely return and appreciate a great experience for the last night of our vacation!

If you are expecting a big-city steakhouse experience, or you expect this to be a steak place in Vail, the Ore House will not be what you are looking for, because this is in a smaller Colorado ski town. Having spent a fair amount of time in various Colorado ski towns, I think that Ore House does what they do exactly right-- friendly and attentive service (thanks, Will!), fresh salad bar, great entrees and sides, a cocktail that doesn't cost $20. Show your kids the photos and the bison head on the walls; Ore House has a genuine sense of place. We will be back!

Food and service was wonderful! An excellent dinner for our engagement day! Would love to go back!
