- JJayNew Jersey •29 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe dined at Samdan to celebrate my wife's birthday. Everything was wonderful from the time we arrived to our departure. We were greeted when we arrived and shown to a table. The menu is very broad, both in ingredients and in price. Our order was taken, water glasses were filled and wine was delivered. We did not take advantage of the ability to bring our own wine. We ordered a Shepards salad and some Babaghanoush … both were excellent. The time between courses was managed well. We waited a short time for our entree. We both ordered lamb shish which came with rice and slivered onion garnish. The lamb was very high quality and cooked to perfection. I had told the staff that it was my wife's birthday. We were given a very nice dessert with some candles. We've dined at Samdan in the past and have always been happy. This experience was just outstanding. My congratulations and thanks to the staff.More infoSamdanPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• Cresskill•4.9
- RRichardNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoTerrific cocktails, attentive service (except, as seems prevalent everywhere, when it comes time to settle the tab - you’d think it’d be the opposite). Convenient ample parking. Ambiance not the greatest when there are loud customers adjacent, but I put that to “socio-economic entitlement”. (As an aside, one finds this entitlement when driving through Tenafly. Every 4-way stop is a ‘Thunderdome’ experience). Pricey but fine for a special occasion. Food’s not wow but flavorful and well prepared.More infoAxia TavernaPrice: Expensive• Greek• Tenafly•4.7
- OTOpenTable DinerNew York City •5 reviews4.0Dined 7 days agoThe food was absolutely fantastic and so was the ambience. Service was a little bit forgetful for nonalcoholic beverages, as well as coming to take and deliver the check… We were very uncomfortable with the photographer coming around who kept insisting on taking our picture even though we said we didn't want to. And then, when we finally agreed, he came back and tried to sell us framed images. It felt very invasive of our dining experience and I would highly recommend Preserving something like that for when there is a club night or something that is not a family trying to enjoy their meal out.More infoMexcalPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Englewood•4.4
- BBruceNew Jersey •2 reviews5.0Dined on 20 Nov 2024One of the best dinner experiences I’ve had. A perfect evening of warm friendly service and delicious food. Decor is inviting too. A wonderful upscale dinner. I have been here before and I will be back again. Warm light flaky bread, house chips, Red sangria, stuffed shrimp, paella Marinera, a bonus after-dinner-shot on the house for our anniversary, tres leches cake with a hot cappuccino. Mmmm mmmm everything was so good and the outstanding personal service was deeply appreciated. You will not be disappointed going here for a drink, tapas or dinner.More infoSayola Restaurant Tapas BarPrice: Expensive• Traditional Spanish• Tenafly•4.7
